Ayurvedic Massage/Abhyanga increases energy and aliveness, decreases pain and sluggishness. It moves toxins out and stimulates lymph, blood and nerve channels on subtle and gross levels. An ancient, very effective detoxifying and rejuvenating treatment.

–The combination of Abhyanga and Shirodhara can reduce body-wide pain.

services-box-1TREATMENTS you will learn and practice in class:
This unique massage was first taught by Dr. R. P. Trivedi of Banaras Hindu University in 1984. Cynthia has continued to practice and teach it since then at massage schools and her clinic. You will learn the one-hour massage which relieves blockages and restores the vayus/flows to normal, revitalizing the body/mind/spirit.

Special: We will be demonstrating Shirodhara on Sunday. Learn to give treatments and a few students will be able to receive them as well!

Shirodhara: warm oil bliss treatment on the third eye
–brings mental balance
–reduces anxiety
–calms Vata in the subtle energy
–relaxes the whole body
–brings a sense of well-being
–focuses the mind

 The training is limited to ten students. Learn to give and receive these extremely relaxing and blissful healing techniques in an intimate environment.

Workshop leader Cynthia Copple, Ayurvedic Doctor (NAMA) /Author/Teacher has practiced Ayurveda for over 35-years and is the longest practicing American-trained practitioner of Ayurveda. She is sometimes called “the Mother of Ayurveda in the US.” She is Co-Founder of the  National Ayurvedic Medical Association, Co-Founder and past Dean,of Mount Madonna Institute College of Ayurveda, and is Director of Lotus Holistic Health Institute since 1982. Her Ayurvedic clinics are in Capitola, CA and Campbell, CA.
